Logging in when you receive a link should take you to the page you originally requested

ACTION: A user that has not yet logged into FCS receives a link to an item in FCS such as a property or company through SharePoint or Outlook.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: The user is asked to login and then is taken to the page associated with the link they originally opened.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR: The user is asked to login and then is taken to the main page of FCS with no indication of the original page the link was trying to send them to.

We use organizational tools to discuss and plan our work and we include links back to FCS for detailed information. If users have not logged in yet or their session has timed out, they get prompted to login when accessing the link and then they have to go back to open the link at its original source a second time after logging in. This confuses the user and if they don't understand what's going on they assume that the link was not to a specific property or they assume the link was broken.
