What?
You now have the ability to upload more than one photo at a time in FCS when doing an Inspection via mobile. The pre-existing functionality to upload one photo at a time still exists and can be used as normal, this is an enhancement to this part of the application.
How many you are able to upload at once will depend on your bandwidth/internet connection, the photos will upload to FCS as they are named in your device, and you can edit them once uploaded to FCS as you always have. You are able to do this in the following areas of an Inspection -
- Observations
- Test Cuts
- Deficiencies
*** The main call-out in this enhancement is Deficiencies and how they need to be defined before an Inspection Report can be generated. ***
Why?
When you upload multiple Observation or Test Cut photos you don't need to categorize, count or plot them on the roof. You can rename them if you would like and edit them as normal.
Deficiencies have the ability to be categorized, given a quantity, and plotted on the roof (plotting is technically optional but can lead to human error & confusion when skipped).
When you initially upload multiple Deficiency photos to FCS during an Inspection they are just images. They have no category or quantity by default when added to FCS like this and are therefore Undefined.
Before an Inspection Report can be created, you have to tell FCS what the Deficiency is, how many there are, and most likely where they are located on the roof.
